About me

Somewhere along the line I realised I had to actually type something meaningful and worth reading. But since I can't think of anything fantastic, I'm just going to ramble on about how I got to where I am today instead.

Who am I? I'm Tasha. Haha I live in New Zealand, the pure land of paradise in a city called New Plymouth, Taranaki which I like to call, Taradise. I absolutely love this place! I can't stay away too long and always return to The Naki. I haven't always lived here though; I was actually born in Taupo, middle of the north island. We moved here when I was 6 years old and honestly, at that age you don't really remember much. It can't have been a traumatic experience as I seemed to adjust fine.

I didn't get the itch for The Big OE until I was in my mid twenties and I decided I wanted to go to Australia. Hey, it's not all that different over there and I know lots of people, so I should be okay, right? Right. I stayed for 14 months and was so home sick hehe I ended up coming back to New Zealand. I've been here ever since. I don't really have any plans to go to any other countries as such but I am keen to visit Australia again one day soon and see my friends again. *wink* you know who you are.

In April 2007 I gave birth to my darling little girl, Alyssa Marie. She is my life and my whole world; I love her like I've never loved anyone before. *kisses and huggles from mummy* The last 7 months have been amazing. I've loved almost the entire journey, well, except those first 6-8 weeks when I was still in the ‘OMG what do I do with the baby?’ stage. Every day is different, it's fun, it's entertaining, it's hard work and it's all worth it.

I'm currently working part time and saving for a house. It's taken me a long time to get where I am and I finally have the chance to squirrel away a few bucks a week to reach my ultimate goal.
